(via UXmag) - Luke Wroblewski has posted some useful resources about touch gestures on his blog, a unique set of resources for software designers and developers working on touch-based user interfaces.

The first resource is a Touch Gesture Reference Guide. The second resource is a roundup of the multi-touch gestures and diagram styles used by a number of different design groups on a range of input devices, including Apple's multi-touch trackpad and Magic Mouse, Windows 7 for multi-touch, Wacom's Bamboo device, and others.

On Sony Ericsson Developer World was just published a cool video showing off the speed and rich effects that are possible on the XPERIA™ X10 mini. The great news is that the UI software development team at Sony Ericsson is preparing some tutorials so that developers can use the same UI features!

Last Friday, Adobe and Condé Nast unveiled a new digital magazine experience based on WIRED magazine at the TED conference in Long Beach, California. Built on Adobe AIR and developed with Condé Nast, the tablet prototype we showed during the TED "Play" session illustrates the possibilities for magazine publishers to reach readers in new ways. UX Magazine published a very interesting article summarizing most important considerations (from Apple) to take in mind designing application for the iPad.

Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for the iPad outline how to create user interfaces optimized for the iPad device. According to Apple, the best iPad applications: downplay application UI so that the focus is on content; present content in beautiful, often realistic ways; and take full advantage of device capabilities to enable enhanced interaction. Lee Brimelow (Platform Evangelist at Adobe) published today his Flash Player 10.1 multi-touch FAQ page. Lee tried to answer to the most asked questions that have come up after the publication of Lee's videos and examples...

As you can tell I have been having tons of fun lately playing with the new multi-touch and gesture APIs in Flash Player 10.1 and AIR 2.0. Based on my videos and examples there have been a ton of questions that have come up, many of which I didn’t know the answers to. There are still many things to test and I will pick Danny Dura’s brain while we are sunning ourselves this week in Brasil. Danny has done a lot of work with these APIs and will be doing a session on them at Flash Camp Brasil. Below are some answers to the most asked questions that have come up.

(via AllAboutSymbian) - An interesting video (from the recent Qt Developer Day) shows how the current S60 UI would act if it was powered by Qt. It's still recognisable as the interface that many have a love/hate relationship, but it gives a nice touchstone to jump off from to the next iteration of UI. Pretty cool!
