(via Vivek) - Forum Nokia released a simple and useful AIR app to help mobile developers and designers to easily build mobile prototypes running on real devices: Flowella! With this tool you can have an interactive prototype without writing a single line of code, watch the video below:

Flowella is an easy to use tool that enables designers and developers to create design prototypes — without writing a line of code. Prototypes are built using images of screen mock-ups and defining links between the screens. This information is then used to create an Adobe Flash Lite 3.0 application or Web Runtime (WRT) widget. These applications can then be run on one of over seventy Nokia devices or in a simulator supplied with Flowella, enabling the application interaction to be assessed.

Thanks to the Forum Nokia Champion Programme I just got my complimentary copy of the Qt for Symbian book. I really look forward to take a closer look at Qt and hope this book will help me moving first steps!

I would like to mention that along with the launch of the Nokia N8 Nokia has also released the Nokia Qt SDK Beta. The Nokia N8 is the company's first device to be integrated with Qt, a cross-platform software development environment. Qt simplifies development and makes it possible to build applications once, then deploy them across Symbian and other software platforms.

(via Forum Nokia) - The visual style of a Web Runtime widget can make or break the success of the app. The Widget Design Tutorial guides designers through the visual styling of a Web Runtime widget using XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The widget uses the COLOURlovers.com web API, and allows users to search for and view popular colours, palettes, and patterns.

he Hue widget described in this tutorial is specifically designed and optimised for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device but can be used with all S60 5th Edition Devices. You can download a copy of the widget from the Forum Nokia website.

(via Alessandro) - The Forum Nokia Online Flash Lite Packager is back LIVE! This is a great news for Flash mobile developers since it proves that Nokia's interest for Flash technologies is still high.

The Forum Nokia Online Flash Lite Packager provides Flash developers with a simple and convenient way to package Flash Lite applications into SIS files for installation on Nokia S60 devices. By packaging Flash Lite content in this way, the application is installed as though it is a native Symbian application. The user can then run the application from an icon in the device's Applications menu. In addition, the packager will sign the SIS file with a developer's Symbian Publisher ID. Such signed files can then be Express Signed and submitted for publication in Ovi Store.

For more information, please read the Forum Nokia Online Flash Lite Packager Guide.
